Professor Saha is a Professional Engineer with Engineering Council of South Africa with industrial and academic experiences. He is the Academic Leader Research and Higher Degrees, School of Engineering at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He is a Fellow of SAIEE, Fellow of South African Academy of Engineers (FSAAE), Member of Academy of Sciences of South Africa (ASSAf), Senior Member of IEEE, Senior Member of SAIMC and an Individual Member Cigre. He is also acting as an Editorial Board Member for a number of International Journals.
He was awarded the Best Lecturer Electrical Engineering in the years 2013-2014, 2016-2019 by the School of Engineering, and Research Excellence Award in the years 2015-2021 by the University of KwaZulu-Natal. He was also awarded the Top 30 Published Researcher in the years 2020-2021 by the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
